Thyagraj stadium in Delhi was the venue for the first New Delhi Open Fide Rated Tournament. Sara Foundation and chess4india.org organized this event.
GM Saptarshi Roy Chowdhury (https://ratings.fide.com/profile/5002974) was listed as the first rank holder in the final ranking crosstable after 9 rounds.
More than 700 chess players engaged in the two day event with enthusiasm.
